Ox Ridge Parent Teacher Organization

Passport Night 2024

Passport Night – Wednesday, May 8th from 5:30-7:30pm

Passport Night is a chance to celebrate and learn about the diverse heritage and cultures of our Ox Ridge community.

There are multiple ways you can participate!

Represent a Country at Passport Night

Students and families are invited to sign up to prepare a display about a country representing their heritage.

The Diversity, Equity and Inclusion (DEI) Committe recommends creating an informational display with a tri-fold poster board, and we will provide a guide to help get you started. The displays will be set up in the gym for the event. If you are interested in bringing food that represents your country, that will be served in the cafeteria. If you want to bring a dish (not required!) please contact Mia Kim so we can coordinate with you.

Sign up here to represent a country of your heritage or one you know a lot about.

Attend Passport Night

Open to all families! The event will take place on Wednesday, May 8th from 5:30-7:30pm and will include musical and dance performances and samplings of international cuisine. Families will “travel” around to each country to learn about them, while enjoying the dance and song performances.

Sign up here to attend.

Design a Family Flag

Help us decorate for Passport Night!

Design a flag that represents your family and return to your teacher by Thursday, April 25. All flags will be displayed in the gym during Passport Night.

Volunteer

The DEI Committee needs your help to make Passport Night a success! Please consider volunteering to help set-up tables and food, sign in families and help with other general tasks.

Sign up here to volunteer.

We look forward to celebrating the diverse nationalities of our Ox Ridge students!

Please contact DEI Chair, Danielle Kohlberger, with any questions.
