Please see flyer above for all of the events we have planned to show our gratitude to Ox Ridge teachers and staff! Additionally, we are asking the students to participate in 2 ways:
1) Wear new Ox Ridge T-Shirt (delivered to your mailbox courtesy of the PTO) THURSDAY, MAY 6TH. The PTO has planned a SURPRISE, which will hopefully be a very strong show of support for Ox Ridge Teachers and Staff. We ask all students to come to school on Thursday in their matching t-shirts, which display all of the names of our wonderful Teachers and Staff in the shape of a heart. You should have received your child’s shirt in your mailbox last week.
If your child is uncomfortable wearing the new t-shirt, he/she can wear other Ox Ridge spirit wear or just a blue shirt. Lastly, we have a very limited number of extra t-shirts, so if the t-shirt grossly does not fit, please contact Mary Elizabeth Garvey (404-538-2831) and we can try to swap out a different size.
2) Complete “Fan Mail” and bring in THURSDAY, MAY 6TH. Please print out this “FAN MAIL” template and help/encourage your child(ren) to complete the document for their teacher(s). We encourage trying to do it “Mad Libs” style, so have your child fill in the blanks (with your help) prior to reading it. Then you can read it together and adjust/tweak as needed. We found this method helped engagement and made it more fun.
Your child is also welcome to fill it out for support teachers and any other members of the Ox Ridge Staff. You are also welcome to bring in any additional cards/notes to express your appreciation for the teacher.
