During adverse weather conditions, the decision to cancel school, delay the opening of school, or dismiss school early is primarily informed by the need to ensure the safety of students and staff. The final decision will ultimately be made by the Superintendent of Schools. Conditions are assessed between 4:00-4:30am unless weather conditions the previous evening warrant a cancellation. A decision will be made based upon information from a variety of sources, such as the weather service, the police and public works department.

Inclement Weather School Closures
- In most cases, you will receive communication between 5:30am and 5:45am on the morning of the closing.
- You can expect to hear about modifications to the school day through email, phone and/or text. In addition, the district webpage and news channels will also be alerted of any school modifications.
- All activities on school closure days are canceled unless otherwise noted.
Inclement Weather Delayed Opening:
- Ox Ridge will open at 11:00am
- ELP 8:30am start will open at 10:40am
- ELP 9:30am start will open at 11:40am
Inclement Weather Early Dismissals:
- Morning Early Dismissal: Ox Ridge will dismiss at 11:30am; ELP 8:30am start will dismiss at 10:00am; ELP 9:30am will be closed
- Afternoon Early Dismissal: Ox Ridge will dismiss at 1:30pm; ELP at 12:00pm
