Dr. Marc Brackett Parent Workshop

The Council of Darien School Parents, on behalf of the PTO, is excited to invite you to attend Dr. Marc Brackett’s parent workshop on December 6th at 7pm in the DHS Auditorium.

Dr. Brackett is the founder and director of the Yale Center for Emotional Intelligence and co-creator of RULER, an evidence-based approach to social-emotional learning. After a year of professional development, teachers are implementing RULER in every classroom in the district. Have you heard about the ‘mood meter’ or the ‘class charter’? That’s RULER! Dr. Brackett is also the author of “Permission to Feel: Unlocking the Power of Emotions to Help Our Kids, Ourselves, and Our Society Thrive.” The workshop will be an interactive discussion with parents that focuses on wellness, mental health and social-emotional learning.
