Ox Rocks is a chance for the school and community to come together in a fun and
empowering environment to celebrate the talent and creativity of our students! We
have over 80 students sign up to perform. All 5th Graders
are also invited to perform the finale song, a special tradition and exciting way to
include all 5th grade students.

*Audition Info:
All participants are required to audition for the show. Auditions will be held directly after
school dismissal at Ox Ridge and your child will only be required to audition on one of
the audition dates.
Please note:
1) Everyone will make it into the talent show. Auditions are an opportunity to receive
feedback and practice as a group in front of a small audience.
2) Students should be prepared with their performance, music, costumes, instruments,
etc. during the audition.
Reminder: Please take a moment to review our Mission Statement below, which
defines our purpose and values to guide our actions and foster unity among
participants as we work together toward our shared goals. We’re setting the “stage”
and need your support in promoting collaboration, especially for group acts and related
challenges like selecting participants, music, and choreography. Over the past few
years, Ox Rocks has strengthened our community and boosted our team spirit. We look
forward to working with Ox Ridge staff, students, and parents to model empathy,
compassion, and problem-solving as we continue this wonderful tradition.
MISSION STATEMENT:
The foundation of Ox Rocks is to support confidence, camaraderie, and fun. Launched
in 2023 alongside the new Ox Ridge building, Ox Rocks is rooted in tradition; a tradition
that fosters creativity and community, which we hope will continue for many years to
come.
Our annual talent show, held on the last Thursday in March, showcases a diverse
range of 60-second acts performed by groups of up to ten students, ensuring that every
voice is heard and valued. With the inspiring finale song “This is Me,” we empower our
5th graders to embrace their uniqueness and shine brightly on stage.
We also look to create a lively atmosphere with highlights such as Hootie at Halftime, a
teacher performance or drum circle, and dynamic Emcees from our faculty. Our
hardworking backstage crew, consisting of 4th and 5th graders, is essential to making
the show a success.
At Ox Rocks, we believe that empowerment of our students always wins, and we strive
to create an unforgettable experience that highlights the unique talents within our
community.
